Activision and Infinity Ward have officially announced Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4, with the next installment in the blockbuster franchise set to launch on October 23, 2026. The game will release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, PC, and Nintendo Switch 2, marking the series' first appearance on a Nintendo platform in more than a decade.

Modern Warfare 4 will include an updated multiplayer experience and the return of the well-liked DMZ extraction mode. Activision has also announced that content from Modern Warfare 4 will be integrated with Call of Duty: Warzone when Season 1 launches later this year.
Alongside these multiplayer features, the campaign will center around a major conflict on the Korean Peninsula, following a North Korean invasion and the return of fan-favorite character Captain Price. Players will experience the story through multiple perspectives as the conflict expands into a global crisis.
With pre-orders now available and an open beta scheduled for later this year, Modern Warfare 4 is set to be one of the major gaming releases for 2026.
