The 20-year-old was driving a BMW when officers from the Dunwoody Police Department stopped him. According to reports from WSB-TV and FOX 5 Atlanta, Harris nearly collided with a police cruiser while pulling out of a gas station, prompting the stop. Officers also noted the smell of marijuana and observed a firearm on Harris’ hip.
Upon running Harris’ information, officers found an outstanding warrant for his arrest, which led to his detainment. Although Harris was cooperative and compliant, he was taken to DeKalb County Jail and later transferred to another agency.
Harris was not alone in the vehicle at the time of the stop. A subsequent search of the car led to the discovery of two small bags of marijuana. One of Harris’ passengers was cited for marijuana possession, but no additional arrests were made.
