According to updated records from the Federal Bureau of Prisons, the music mogul's projected release date has been moved up to February 23, 2028, marking the latest adjustment to his sentence timeline. The revised date comes months after Combs was sentenced to 50 months in federal prison following his 2025 conviction on transportation-related prostitution charges.

The release date has undergone several changes since Combs entered federal custody. Initial projections placed his release in May 2028 before subsequent updates shifted the date multiple times. The newest projection moves his release up by nearly two months from the previously listed date of April 15, 2028.

While federal officials have not publicly detailed the reason for the latest adjustment, inmates can earn reductions to their projected release dates through participation in rehabilitation programs, good conduct credits, and other earned-time initiatives offered through the Bureau of Prisons.

Combs is currently serving his sentence at the Federal Correctional Institution in Fort Dix, New Jersey. His legal team continues to pursue an appeal of his conviction, though no decision has been announced.

The updated release date represents the latest development in Combs' ongoing legal saga as he continues serving his sentence while awaiting the outcome of his appeal.
