Portland-born rapper Aminé and Boston-based footwear brand New Balance are releasing their third collaboration: the bold and thoughtful “Biblioteca” version of the ABZORB 2000 runner. Dropping this fall, the sneaker meshes streetwear aesthetics with a community-focused message.

Draped in various shades of green—from neon accents to deep pine overlays—the upper embraces a striking, high-gloss sheen. Key sections of the “N” logo, midsole, and upper slits glow in the dark, marrying futuristic flair with retro tech inspiration. The cushioning employs New Balance’s signature ABZORB midsole and SBS pods, promising both comfort and performance. Subtle nods to libraries abound: a library-card printed insole, rule-listing on the tongue, and a bespoke “book drop” style shoebox echoing Portland library aesthetics.
Scheduled for release on October 3, 2025, the drop will be available via Club Banana (Aminé’s platform), with sign-ups open now. As part of the rollout, a book drive is underway through September 10 at the Multnomah County Library drop-off site (207 NE Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd, Portland). Fans who donate and share proof tagging Aminé are entered to win a free pair.
This collaboration isn’t just a fashion statement—it’s a reminder that creativity and community can go hand in hand. Aminé’s “Biblioteca” edition invites fans not only to freshen their sneaker rotation, but also turn a page toward giving back to literacy.
