Epic Games has officially announced that basketball legend Shaquille O'Neal will be the next athlete to receive his own skin in Fortnite. The collaboration, set to launch on October 4, 2024, will feature the "Super Shaq" bundle, offering two distinct skins and a variety of unique cosmetics.

The Fortnite x Shaq partnership was initially leaked as a mystery ICON Series set, but Shaq himself confirmed the news during a live DJ set. This bundle stands out for its high level of customization, making it more versatile than previous content creator and celebrity bundles.

The Shaq bundle includes two skins—"Base Shaq" and "Super Shaq"—each with its own set of styles. Players will also be able to equip two different pickaxe variants, allowing for more personalization. Here's a breakdown of what's included in the bundle and its pricing:
Skins: Base Shaq, Super Shaq
Pickaxe Variants: Two customizable options
Other Cosmetics: Additional styles and features for complete customization
This exciting release comes just ahead of Fortnite's annual Halloween event, Fortnitemares, which is expected to introduce even more characters. According to leaks from Shiina, horror icons like Billy the Puppet from the Saw franchise, Leatherface from Texas Chainsaw Massacre, and a spooky version of DJ Marshmello are also expected to debut soon.
Although this isn't Fortnite's first collaboration with NBA players—skins for all 30 NBA teams were released in 2022—this marks the first time Shaquille O'Neal, the star of Shaq-Fu, has been featured in the game.
