For years basketball fans have been speculating as to when current Lakers star Lebron James may call it quit. For James if he chooses to play another season he will be 41 going into the season and enter his 24th season in the league if he chooses to play.

For anyone sticking in any career for 23 years is impressive especially with one such as a pro athlete.
For LeBron, the reasons to stay in the game are dwindling down as he has shattered numerous records and will go down as arguably the greatest basketball player in this century and possibly ever.
Lebron has broken the all time scoring record, most games played, most minutes played, and has played the most playoff games.
Then there is the family aspect. One of LeBron's long-stated goals was playing alongside his son, Bronny James. After accomplishing that dream, the future Hall of Famer may feel that one of the final items on his basketball bucket list has been checked off.
Anticipating when LeBron will retire is a risky endeavor. He has consistently surpassed expectations during his career. However, eventually, every legendary path must come to an end.
This season might be the moment when one of basketball's legendary figures chooses to retire from the game he has shaped for over twenty years.
