Too Recklss Top 25 — Week 5

Week 5 brought plenty of movement to the Too Recklss Top 25, with several teams making major statements while others took a step back. Missouri made the biggest jump of the week after dominating Florida, while Utah, Tennessee, Houston and Pittsburgh also climbed the rankings. Meanwhile, Florida, Iowa, Mississippi State and SMU all dropped after disappointing performances. With the college football season heating up, here is how the Too Recklss Top 25 looks heading into Week 6.

1. Texas — No. 1 → No. 1

Texas stays at No. 1 after another strong showing against Tennessee. The Longhorns escaped with a 20-17 win in a close game, but their ability to win a tough matchup keeps them at the top of the Too Recklss rankings.

2. Georgia — No. 2 → No. 2

Georgia remains at No. 2 after taking care of Vanderbilt, 38-14. The Bulldogs continue to look like one of the most complete teams in the country and have done nothing to warrant a drop.

3. Notre Dame — No. 3 → No. 3

Notre Dame stays at No. 3 after defeating North Carolina 37-26. The Fighting Irish continue to pile up wins and remain one of the strongest teams in the country.

4. Miami — No. 4 → No. 4

Miami stays at No. 4 after dominating Clemson 41-13. The Hurricanes made a major statement against a ranked opponent and continue to look like a legitimate College Football Playoff contender.

5. Ohio State — No. 5 → No. 5

Ohio State remains at No. 5 after beating Iowa 31-14. The Buckeyes controlled the game and continue to show why they are one of the nation's most talented teams.

6. Alabama — No. 7 → No. 6 ⬆️ 1

Alabama moves up one spot after destroying Mississippi State 56-23. The Crimson Tide's offense continues to produce, and another convincing win pushes them into the No. 6 spot.



7. Indiana — No. 6 → No. 7 ⬇️ 1

Indiana drops one spot despite beating Rutgers 47-15. The Hoosiers remain undefeated and impressive, but Alabama's recent performance was enough to move the Crimson Tide ahead of them.

8. Utah — No. 12 → No. 8 ⬆️ 4

Utah jumps four spots after defeating Iowa State 31-17. The Utes continue to look like one of the strongest teams in the Big 12 and deserve a major boost after another quality win.

9. BYU — No. 9 → No. 9

BYU stays at No. 9 after defeating TCU 17-10. The Cougars did not put up huge offensive numbers, but their defense held strong against a quality Big 12 opponent.

10. LSU — No. 8 → No. 10 ⬇️ 2

LSU drops two spots despite cruising past McNeese 63-14. The Tigers dominated as expected, but with stronger wins elsewhere, LSU slides down the rankings.

11. Tennessee — No. 14 → No. 11 ⬆️ 3

Tennessee moves up three spots after beating Auburn 24-14. The Volunteers bounced back from their close loss to Texas and showed they remain one of the better teams in the SEC.

12. Missouri — No. 23 → No. 12 ⬆️ 11

Missouri is the biggest riser of the week, jumping 11 spots after crushing Florida 45-17. The Tigers made one of the loudest statements of the week and have quickly become a team nobody should overlook.

13. Texas Tech — No. 11 → No. 13 ⬇️ 2

Texas Tech drops two spots despite beating Colorado 29-7. The Red Raiders continue to play well, but the teams moving up around them have pushed them slightly down the rankings.

14. Ole Miss — No. 15 → No. 14 ⬆️ 1

Ole Miss moves up one spot. The Rebels remain one of the SEC's better teams and continue to hold their place in the Too Recklss Top 25.

15. Oklahoma State — No. 19 → No. 15 ⬆️ 4

Oklahoma State moves up four spots this week. The Cowboys continue to benefit from their strong season and move closer to the middle of the Top 25.



16. Pittsburgh — No. 20 → No. 16 ⬆️ 4

Pittsburgh climbs four spots as the Panthers continue to build momentum. Pitt has done enough to move ahead of several teams that struggled this week.

17. Florida — No. 9 → No. 17 ⬇️ 8

Florida takes one of the biggest drops of the week after getting dominated by Missouri, 45-17. The Gators struggled on both sides of the ball and fall eight spots after one of their worst performances of the season.

18. Houston — No. 22 → No. 18 ⬆️ 4

Houston jumps four spots after a wild comeback victory over UCF. The Cougars erased a 17-0 deficit and rallied to win 27-17, showing plenty of resilience in a game they easily could have lost.

19. Oregon — No. 17 → No. 19 ⬇️ 2

Oregon drops two spots this week. The Ducks remain a talented team, but they slide as other teams continue to strengthen their resumes.

20. USC — No. 16 → No. 20 ⬇️ 4

USC falls four spots after struggling to put away Washington. The Trojans survived 25-21, but the narrow victory was not enough to prevent them from sliding down the rankings.

21. Boise State — No. 22 → No. 21 ⬆️ 1

Boise State moves up one spot after beating Utah State 37-18. The Broncos continue to handle business and remain one of the top teams outside the Power Four.

22. Kentucky — Unranked → No. 22 ⬆️

Kentucky enters the Top 25 after an impressive 35-34 win over South Carolina. The Wildcats showed plenty of toughness in a one-point SEC thriller and earn their spot in the rankings.



23. Iowa — No. 13 → No. 23 ⬇️ 10

Iowa takes one of the biggest drops of the week after losing 31-14 to Ohio State. The Hawkeyes remain in the Top 25, but the loss exposed some of the gap between them and the nation's elite.

24. Mississippi State — No. 16 → No. 24 ⬇️ 8

Mississippi State falls eight spots after getting beaten by Alabama 56-23. The Bulldogs could not keep up with Alabama's offense and take a major hit in the rankings.

25. SMU — No. 18 → No. 25 ⬇️ 7

SMU drops seven spots despite beating Boston College 25-16. The Mustangs remain in the Top 25, but the lack of a dominant performance combined with movement from other teams pushes them down.
