 The Minnesota Timberwolves have secured their spot in the Western Conference Finals for the second consecutive year, defeating the Golden State Warriors 121–110 in Game 5 of their second-round playoff series. This victory marks the first time in franchise history that the Timberwolves have reached back-to-back conference finals.

The Timberwolves showcased a well-rounded team effort in the decisive Game 5. Julius Randle led the charge with 29 points on 13-for-18 shooting, contributing eight rebounds and five assists. Anthony Edwards added 22 points and 12 assists, while Rudy Gobert anchored the defense with his presence in the paint. Veteran guard Mike Conley provided a steadying influence with 16 points and eight assists off the bench.

Head coach Chris Finch emphasized the team's growth and resilience throughout the season. "The challenge we laid down to our guys from day one was quite simple," Finch remarked. "It was one question: 'Were you a Western Conference finals team, or were you a team that just happened to make the Western Conference finals?'
