Spurs Bring Back Jordan McLaughlin on One-Year Deal

According to ESPN's Shams Charania, Jordan McLaughlin has agreed to a one-year, $3.3 million contract to return to the Spurs. The deal gives San Antonio another experienced point guard off the bench.
McLaughlin played in 44 games for the Spurs last season after joining the team in the trade that also brought De'Aaron Fox to San Antonio. Even though he didn't play big minutes, he gave the team solid defense, smart passing, and reliable shooting when called on. He shot 42.5% from three-point range last season.
The 30-year-old is expected to continue as a backup behind De'Aaron Fox, Stephon Castle, and rookie Dylan Harper. The move also fills the Spurs' 14th standard roster spot as they continue building for another playoff run.
