The New York Knicks enter the Finals after a dominant Eastern Conference run, sweeping the Cleveland Cavaliers in the conference finals. New York's physical defense, rebounding, and balanced scoring have made them one of the league's toughest teams to beat. The Knicks have embraced a blue-collar identity and now find themselves four wins away from delivering the franchise's first championship since 1973.

Standing in their way is the San Antonio Spurs, who survived a seven-game battle against the Oklahoma City Thunder in the Western Conference Finals. After winning Game 7 on the road, the Spurs carry momentum into the Finals behind a young core that has quickly transformed San Antonio into a championship contender.

The series presents a fascinating contrast. New York thrives on toughness, defense, and controlling the pace, while San Antonio's youthful talent and athleticism can change a game in a matter of minutes. The battle in the paint, transition defense, and late-game execution could ultimately determine who lifts the Larry O'Brien Trophy.

For the Knicks, the opportunity is historic. For the Spurs, it's a chance to begin a new dynasty. Either way, basketball fans are set for a Finals showdown between two teams that earned their place on the league's biggest stage.
