The American League continued its recent dominance by defeating the National League 4-0 in the 2026 MLB All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. The AL jumped ahead with a three-run first inning, highlighted by a two-run single from Cody Bellinger and an RBI hit from Ben Rice.

Bellinger was named All-Star Game MVP after driving in two runs in his return to the Midsummer Classic. The AL pitching staff was dominant, combining for a three-hit shutout while striking out 15 National League batters.
The American League added an insurance run in the eighth inning when Miguel Vargas launched a solo home run, sealing the 4-0 victory.
If you ask me, this year's All-Star Game was a complete snooze fest. The American League took control almost immediately, and there was never a point where it felt like the National League had a real chance to make things interesting. Outside of a few standout moments, the game lacked drama, excitement, and the back-and-forth action fans hope to see in baseball's biggest showcase. The Home Run Derby easily stole the spotlight, making the All-Star Game feel more like an afterthought than the main event.
Jordan Walker became the 2026 Home Run Derby champion after one of the most dramatic finishes in the event's history. Walker erased a four-home-run deficit in the final against Kyle Schwarber, blasting six straight home runs on his final swings to capture the title in front of a packed crowd at Citizens Bank Park. The victory made Walker the first player in Cardinals history to win the Home Run Derby.
