Following the incident, Dončić underwent an MRI on Tuesday, after feeling tightness during Monday's initial training camp practice. The Mavericks have ruled him out for their preseason opener against the Memphis Grizzlies and stated that his condition will be re-evaluated in a week. While the extent of his recovery remains unclear, Dončić could potentially miss more than just the first exhibition game and may be sidelined for the entire preseason.
As the Mavericks’ MVP candidate and one of the most vital players on the team, Dončić's status is critical for the upcoming season. Fans and analysts will be closely watching his recovery process in hopes that he returns to full strength ahead of the regular season.
