According to reports, Minnesota receives Ball and guard Josh Green, while Charlotte acquires Sixth Man of the Year Naz Reid, an unprotected 2033 first-round pick, first-round pick swaps in 2028, 2029 and 2030, plus second-round selections in 2029, 2032 and 2033.

For Charlotte, the trade signals the beginning of a new era centered around Brandon Miller and Kon Knueppel. Acquiring Reid gives the Hornets one of the NBA's premier frontcourt scorers, while the collection of draft assets provides flexibility as the franchise continues to build for the future.

The blockbuster deal instantly reshapes the Western Conference, giving Minnesota another star alongside Edwards as the franchise looks to make a deeper playoff run. Meanwhile, the Hornets are betting that long-term flexibility and a proven veteran in Reid will accelerate the next phase of their rebuild.
