Matthew Stafford the reigning NFL MVP on Thursday agreed to a one year extension worth $55 million extension with possible incentives to bump the contract up another $5 million to earn up to $60 million.

This deal will make Stafford one of the top 5 paid quarterbacks tying him with Joe Burrow, Jordan Love, and Trevor Lawrence with only Dak Prescott making more money.
This deal comes after the Rams selected the possible QB of the future Ty Simpson from the University of Alabama with the 13th overall pick of this years draft.
Many on twitter view this extension as deserved as he is the reigning MVP and had a season for the ages.
Stafford threw for 4,707 passing yards and 46 touchdowns to only 8 interceptions making the 2025 season his best season in his long 17 year NFL career.
Stafford is currently ranks sixth all time in passing yards in the NFL and is currently trailing active NFL QB Aaron Rodgers by 1,758 yards.
