In the historic main event held on the South Lawn of the White House, Justin Gaethje pulled off one of the biggest upsets of his career, defeating undefeated lightweight champion Ilia Topuria via fourth-round TKO to become the undisputed UFC Lightweight Champion. The victory handed Topuria his first professional loss and capped off a memorable night in Washington, D.C.

Topuria appeared to be in control early, using his speed and precision striking to win the opening rounds. The champion nearly finished Gaethje in the second round, but the veteran contender weathered the storm and refused to back down.

Everything changed in the third round. Gaethje began finding his range with powerful right hands and relentless pressure, opening cuts and causing significant swelling around Topuria's eyes. As the fight wore on, the damage continued to mount, and the momentum completely shifted in favor of the American challenger.

By the end of the fourth round, Topuria's face showed the effects of the punishment. With their fighter struggling to see and absorb more damage, Topuria's corner made the difficult decision to stop the fight before the fifth round could begin. The result gave Gaethje the championship and ended one of the UFC's most impressive undefeated streaks.

The victory marked a career-defining moment for Gaethje, who once again proved why he is considered one of the toughest fighters in MMA history. In front of a packed crowd and under the lights of the White House, "The Highlight" delivered another unforgettable performance and left Washington with UFC gold around his waist.
