Boxing legend Floyd Mayweather is facing serious legal trouble after Nevada prosecutors charged him with two felonies related to an alleged bad check used to purchase a luxury watch in Las Vegas.

According to court records, Mayweather is accused of writing a $200,000 check in December 2024 to buy an Audemars Piguet watch from luxury reseller Gold & Beyond despite allegedly having insufficient funds in the account.
Prosecutors charged the undefeated former champion with felony theft of property valued at more than $100,000 and passing a check with intent to defraud. Authorities allege Mayweather knowingly wrote the check while lacking the funds necessary to cover the purchase.
The complaint stems from a transaction that occurred more than a year ago. Attorneys representing the jewelry store reportedly attempted to resolve the matter privately before pursuing legal action.
The allegations add to a growing list of financial and legal disputes surrounding the former five-division world champion. Despite earning hundreds of millions throughout his Hall of Fame boxing career and maintaining a perfect 50-0 professional record, Mayweather has recently faced lawsuits and reported tax-related issues.
